The Kraken have survived on saves at the net despite the lack of offense that we have seen. Over the last five games the near league low scoring has seen Seattle start dropping down the standings, sliding from second in the West to sixth with a -13 point differential. Going into overtime in ten of the first twenty-two games is a pace that was unsustainable and the lack of shots on goal would eventually catch up with this team. The last five starts have shown that to be true.

The Seattle Kraken are among the best at shutting down the scoring from opponents sitting second only behind the league leading Avalanche allowing 2.55 just goals per game. The speed on the ice and the goaltending makes the Kraken extremely tough for the rest of the league to put the puck in the net.
